Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What time should dancer’s arrive for the recital?

       A. Dancers should arrive with Hair and Make-Up complete by 10:00AM for the 11:00AM Show and be back by                     4:00PM for the 4:30PM show.

Q. Are all dancer’s in both shows?

       A. Preschool classes are in only 1 show. Make sure you check the show order BEFORE purchasing tickets to know             what show your dancer is in. Levels 1-5 are in both Shows

Q.  Should costumes be covered if going into the audience?

       A. Costumes must be covered in the audience and preferably backstage. A zip up jacket or bathrobe can be worn               over the costume. It is not suggested to wear something that goes over the head.

Q. Can I just drop my child off, if I am not watching the show?

       A. A parent or Guardian must be on the premises at all time for any child under the age of 11. If you are not able to           be there, then please have a trusted family member, friend and adult babysitter on the premises in your place in               case of an emergency.

Q. Do I need to purchase a ticket for both shows?

       A. If you are planning on watching both shows from the audience, then yes, a ticket for each show will need to be             purchased. If we have enough dressing room volunteers from different levels, then volunteers will be able to run               into the auditorium to watch their child dance and then get back to the dressing room.

Q. Are Dancers allowed to watch the show from the auditorium?

       A. A student may only watch the show from the audience if they are done dancing in the show. A ticket will need to         be purchased for a student planning to sit in the audience. The exception is children 5 and under who can sit still             on a parent’s lap without blocking the view of the audience behind them.

Q. Will there be TIAC merchandise available for sale at the recital?

       A. There will not be any merchandise available for sale at the recital this year. If you are interested in purchasing               any merchandise as a gift for your child, then please see the front desk at the studio to view available merchandise           for sale in the store prior to the last day of classes.

Q. Are dancers required to stay at the school in between shows.

       A. Although they are not required to stay, it is suggested. A lot of people tend to flood the area restaurants at the               end of the rectital which can make it difficult to have enough time to have an enjoyable meal and make it back by             4:00 without feeling rushed. The competition team will be selling pre-ordered meals. Be sure to keep a look up for             the sign up if you are interested. You can also pack a picnic to eat outside or in the cafeteria.

Q. Where should I park?

       A. Dancers should park in the parking lot following the road to the right when going up the hill at the fork.                         Audience members should park in the parking lot following the road to the left at the fork?

Q. How do I know what the hairstyle is for each dance, what shoes to wear  and tights to wear?

       A. Each costume went home with a label on the garment bag with all this information.
